Voter Support Combats Regionalization

On Tuesday, April 21st, the Harding Township citizens voted in favor of the 2009-2010 school budget, 310-92. More taxpayers voted yes than total votes in the last four years, yielding the largest turnout since 1998. The passing percentage was the highest margin in Harding since before 1995 and one of the highest in the state of New Jersey.

On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to thank all Harding Township residents for their support of our school. Many individuals were instrumental in assisting with the dissemination of budget information, as the process represents a school community effort. This outcome further illustrates a community that is satisfied with the educational quality at HTS, demonstrates a support of our educators and provides another victory for small community schools.
