You may have wondered how the district At-A-Glance Calendar is formed. The Board solicits input of several stakeholders using a committee approach to the calendar design process. The committee is composed of a secretary, a custodian, a teacher at each school, an administrator, a member of the SEA executive committee, parents from Somerville and Branchburg, a Board member and me. The committee meets annually with the task of designing a calendar that best meets the needs of all children. The adopted calendars can be seen by clicking on the links below.

Important Update: VoTech has selected a different week for Spring Break (2013). Stay tuned as a change may be made... This information was NOT available at the time of our calendar formation.
Thanks for the update and for keeping everyone informed.
I like how you incorporated various people into the process.
Thank you for keeping up-to-date on the calendar changes. I myself have been waiting for the final Votech calendar, which was just approved the other day. :)
The Board of Education voted last night to move the spring break week for next year. Hopefully we will have VoTech's information prior to our committee meeting next year.
A district committee of stakeholders will meet on Monday, February 11, 2013 to discuss the 2013-2014 Calendar-At-A-Glance.
District educators will not assign any tests, homework or quizzes for September 6, 2013 in observance of Rosh Hashanah.
